Where can I find a good tutorial on animation. The one that is in the Solidworks tutorials steps you through a process but is lacking on teaching to really understand what's going on.
You probably know them too. It is useful to remind.I can list what comes to my mind.1-To buy an educational dvd.2-If you have a VAR, have an education or training DVD tackle (this may be free.)3-Watching a lot of videos on Google and doing lots of practice. (create a folder and collect useful videos about animations.)
I can do enough to meet my needs and I used the third method. A training that explains animation from beginning to end will be incomplete unless it is practiced and problems are encountered.

For simple assemblies with sequential separate movements I found very easy to create exploded view and use the "Animate Explode" function instead.
Of course that has limitations. It's not possible to change part visibilty and aspect or set times to move different parts.
