Hi guys, i want to put a colum to say what is PART what is ASSEMBLY, can someone help me?
It would be easy enough to add a custom property in the Part and Assembly files, then link a BOM column to this property. There may be a better way, but this is the best I know of off the top of my head.
We created Custom property in the Property tab builder that has a drop down menu in it.
If the item is an assembly, then it defaults to "ASSEMBLE" otherwise it defaults to "MAKE"
This is a column in our BOM:

I did that already, but i cant believe that is not a property to put on the table. Cause its so simple. But i think the custom property tab will be the to go!
And of course I show you an assembly in which the items aren't updated yet. LOL
Vote for SPR 957983: Ability to automatically display component type (part, subassembly, assembly) in BOM without having to add it as a Custom Property for a chance at seeing it in a future release.
How do I vote on an SPR in the Knowledge Base?
