With the Student 2020/2021 edition what are the limitations as compared to a commercial copy of this fantastic soft.
I have only used commercial full versions up till now at where I have worked. Right now can't afford full version so purchased student yesterday. Thanks all for everyone's patience with me.

That is not what I asked. I use it for personal use on my race car. Read the question again and see if you know the answer. I don't even know why you would reply with something like you said; it has nothing to do with the question I asked and it is offensive. You insinuate that I am involved in criminal activities. I can read, and when you buy this student version of the soft it clearly states what you said. I guess you are master of the obvious. To many of you people around.

You wanted to know the difference right?
The main difference is that the student files are watermarked and the software is meant for education purposes not commercial. Outside that there isn't much you would notice.
Now where did I imply you were using it illegally?
So read the answer again and understand that is the difference, you had the answer from me and perhaps think before compiling such a silly reply.
If you scroll to the bottom of this page: https://www.solidworks.com/product/students you will see what is included (probably) with the copy you may have purchased - to wit, not much. If you go to the comparison of the commercial version(s), as well as SolidWorks Simulation, then you will notice quite a difference. Also, I believe (I'm sure J. Mather can give a better response) that the student version is 'one behind' the commercial version.
There is no functional difference (and you can get the current 2020) between student license and commercial license, only the terms of the license is different.
However, what version of SolidWorks student license did you purchase?

You can't use it for business and if your files are opened on a full version it will show that they were created on a student version.
The student version is basically for education purposes not for any financial gain.
