Your best option, or at least one option, would be to create a custom property in the Part, then reference it with a Note in the drawing view.
As soon as I typed this I remembered that you could create the wire as a weldment and then LENGTH would automatically be generated as a cut list property that could be used in the Drawing. If you're going to be doing this fairly often it would be worth setting up, but if not the first option I mentioned above will probably be best.
Thanks Glenn, its only something I have to do to when we order a robot for the cable length and I was sure I could do it in a view by selecting the curve and then the end points but this would not work in an isometric view.
