I get this message when I close the application and it won't go away.
Posting in both thread locations:
This looks related to an Office365 update breaking functionality related to the CAM add-in(which uses Access for it's TechDB).
The real fix we've seen so far is to install the following Access runtime redistributable from Microsoft.
AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
You might get more responses if you post a screen capture of the message and provide your system specifications, including operating system.
I have a student experiencing the same issue. I did a uninstall and reboot, then reinstall. Same issue, graphics card is up to date. Windows 10 x64 Home, AMD Pro Graphics.
Solidworks is not supported on Windows 10 Home.
Agreed, I didn't think it was possible to install on Winders Home.

.. yes, it may not be supported..but it works without issue.
..and I have yet to get an official reason....that is, there is no reason.
I got the exact same problem and cannot solve that and I am even Win 10Pro
This is new problem because last week I login and use my solidworks that is still fine, just today I want to use that and found problem
I have a coworker with the same issue. He is running Windows 10 Pro version 1909. I’m going to run Windows update and will report back.
Just updated to 2004 and problem remains.
We’ve run a repair Windows utility and the repair SolidWorks utility. Problem remains.

[FIX] The Operating System Is Not Presently Configured To Run This Application
Could be something wrong with Start up programs.
Could be something wrong with Default App setting.
Could be something wrong with Anti-virus program.
Could be MS Office, repair Office install.
..yes,.. it maybe a Add-in? Uncheck all the Add-in's and re-launch,... ?

When you get it resolved - I recommend that you create a Windows Restore Point.
Having same issue which started Wednesday. Have you figured it out now so I don’t have to have a tech issue call with Microsoft. They already did a restore point on Friday but it still persists.

Error mesg after closing SW
Yes, did update from 1909 to 2004 version, problem still exists running Windows 10 Pro.
THIS IS THE FIX.
Unfortunately this did not work for my user.
You can find my working solution here. No regedit modification no old office runtime to install.
Installing AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe also fixed the problem for my user.
Thank you Alex - your suggestion fixed the issue for me.
Attempted the AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe download. I am running 64bit Windows 10pro but 32bit Microsoft Office, therefore I cannot download this ^.
When I download the 32bit AccessDatabaseEngine, no help. I still have Solidworks closing issue.
The Access 2010 Runtime fix that Alex suggested worked for me (Thank you Alex). The real question is why they are using the 2010 runtime for Tech DB. I have been writing software 25 years... Senior MS database engineer... No idea why that runtime hasn't been updated in whatever module is causing the error.
This fix worked for me.
My issue started today when I reinstalled SW 2019 SP5 on a new replacement machine with Win 10 Pro and Office 365 installed.
