I've got an odd one. My supervisor wants to add an in-group approval step to the workflow before it reaches him. Basically there are three people in the group (including me) who actually edit CAD. He wants one of the other two to check any changes before it gets sent to him.
Fairly straightforward BUT in this example, what prevents me from approving my own changes? I'd like to add a condition that as long as the approve isn't the author then the state change is allowed but I don't know the syntax for variables in this case.
If you add a state for the checking process, there is an option that prevents the user that did the previous state change on a file from doing the next one. so if you put it into the checking state, you cant send it on to the next state (pending approval?)
and sorry - I don't recall what the option/permission is called
edit: found it. it is in the transition properies
