Cannot get 'Markup' command to allow use of pen, etc;
This is my screen, the only option available is the text option, I am sure the solution is simple, I just cannot find out to have the other options open to me.
What operating system version are you using?
Tried that again and same results. My results are as you see in my post significantly different than the examples you show, At one point I did have the possible applicable icons not grayed out, but that was momentary and happened when I was not being careful to pay close attention to each key stroke (being old and unfamiliar as I am - yeah - my bad!)
Oops, I had moved the view and your 1st question was out of view, here is a Snip of my system:
Instead of looking in 'Control Panel', use the search tool, and type Settings to find the settings app:
In the Settings app, select System and then in the left pane at the bottom select About. This will show the version number:
If your version isn't 1703 or higher, you can't use the ink stroke tools on the Markup toolbar, and they will be greyed out.
Looking at how everything seems to be grayed out, could you be using the Large design review mode or the large assembly mode? I believe both would block you from using mark-ups
How would I know? I know for sure I have not made those as a purposeful selection.
It is a setting that can be set in Options>Assemblies.
You can also view if you are using large assembly mode by looking in your Assembly tab at the very right to see if the ''Large Assembly mode'' is turned on.
If you're in Larged Design Review, you will only have one tab on the top named ''Large design review''
