I am working on a rendering project and need to apply appearances to my solidworks model before bringing it into keyshot. The problem is, I need to render the model in 2 different modes. I have been given 2 assemblies of the model, one is the model in one mode, the other is transformed in the alternate mode. Is it possible to add appearances to the parts in one assembly and have it update the same parts in the other assembly? This would save me hours of redundant work. Currently, I have to add the appearances to one assembly and then start all over again with the second assembly. The only other alternative is to color one assembly and then add all the mates and transform it to its other position. This also takes hours of extra work.
