I try to run a simple static simulation. I usually have to re-mesh. Then sometimes it works, most times I get the message below. Today, I did a force study on a pipe and it ran fine, the I did an FOS study and got results. I then added 0.007” to the wall thickness and re-ran and it doesn’t complete. I usually get the message below.
I've saved completed studies and when I open the file and re run if fails. What might I try?
Where are result files being stored? I the local working directory? In an auto subdirectory?
I used to be in the habit of deleting CWR and scratch files before re-using a study. It's not been an issue in a long time, but I always work locally, and in the same working directory, now whereas before I was often in a PDM environment.
I ended up putting my part file in C:\Temp and results in C:\Zstress and that seems to get me by. I still need to delete the results. I usually have to run a mesh twice and run the study twice before I get results. I just shouldn't have to go through all these steps for a process that should be seamless.
This is Problem with the data format in the results.
Delete the results and run the study again.
