I am building a bracket that will attach to the end of a PVC pipe. I want some ears to stick out across a slit for tightening the bracket with a bolt between the ears. I created a plane tangent to the cylindrical surface (the blue line), drew a rectangle and extruded it up and down to the cylindrical surface. In the sketch it looks fine, but after extrusion the ears aren't attaching to the surface which is preventing me from adding a fillet. Zooming in, you can see a gap between the ear and the surface. How do I get the ears to attach to the surface so I can put fillets on them?
