Applying External Mass to centrifugally loaded cylindrical components

I am trying to model a bolted connection between a centrifugal fan shaft and impeller.

To reduce the calculation times, I want to eliminate the complicated impeller geometry and replace it with an external mass applied to the outer diameter face of my simplified fan centreplate.

The center of mass of the remote mass happens to be exactly at the origin. This is correct. What appears to be happening is that the centrifugal loading of the remote mass is applied in the wrong direction, pulling the outer face of the centreplate towards the origin, rather than away from it.
