I often work on large assemblies that need to get uprev'd at work. The way my company works is to create a new file for every revision, rather than just create configurations within the existing file.
I know this question has been asked many times, but I want to ask again since it's now almost August 2020, and the last times they were asked were several years ago.
Basically, when I replace model in a drawing with a new file, solidworks just loses all the dimensions and everything is dangling. Most of the time when I replace model, the change to the file is just like a hole change or something minor. The majority of the dimensions are all still the same.
Is there any way to replace model in drawings and keep all the dimensions??? It's driving me absolutely insane, and it is so tedious and time consuming to recreate every large drawing I have.
(FYI. I am using Solidworks 2020)
