Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to find a solution for this problem:
I have a LOT of simple welded assemblies(old hand drawings, i need te recreate them in 3D and 2D also), that contain 4 plates. 3 out of 4 plates have different shapes, features and dimensions.
Luckily, the same parts in different assemblies differ from eachother very little, mostly in dimensions. So plate "A" is very similar in assembly 1 to plate "A" in assembly 2 and so on.
As an output, I need the 3D assembly and parts, 2D drawing of the assembly.
I thought that this could be easily solved using design tables, but I can't find a way to save all the different designs to
separate files. Also I'm not sure if design tables in assemblies can do what I need.
I think what I'd like to have is design tables combined with pack&go or something like that. I create 1 instance of each file and drawings, then I add in the parameters to a table, and Solidworks generates all the files and drawings based on what I gave in.
Do you think this is possible somehow?
Thank you in advance for any help!
