I have one Assembly file(SLDASM) only, but when i open it, it says it cant find the components to the Assembly and the file gets suppressed.
WHAT TO DO??
Whoever gave you the .sldasm file needs to also give you all of the .sldprt files.
Thanks Man.. The point.
I'm pretty sure the answer Josh gave you is correct, but if you didn't receive this Assembly from someone else then My Drawing or Assembly can't find dependent files. may help.
Yes man.. Thanks for the reply.
Amarthya, It may be part file at different location in the same computer. or assembly "save as" at different name than earlier assembly name.
I downloaded it from My solidworks.. I only got the SLDASM file ..So no part files are there..
If you really need to view the assembly (while waiting for a pack and go from whoever sent you the file..), you can open the assembly in large design review mode, or open the asm in edrawing.
Doing so will enable you to view the asm without the part file..
** The large design review mode use the last saved (?) state of the asm, so if someone update the part without saving the asm, you might not be able to see the update...
I see.. Thanks mann..
