Hello, it's my first question posted here.
For some reason I need to iterate through all mates in an assembly (see figure 1) to check all the complete entity names (figure 2). On the web I found only the possibility of retrieving component names ("TML000122-1") associated on mates but not the specific entity names (for example "Faccia<2>@TML000122-1"). Any suggestion? Thanks a lot!
"Faccia<2>" is meaningless. Well, almost meaningless. It's just the second face you picked. This name is not usable for any purpose that I'm aware of, nor is it consistent or repeatable. If you cancel this mate and instead pick the faces in the opposite order, <1> and <2> will switch.
What do you really need to do?
First of all thank you Josh for your interest. You're right, "faccia<2>" is not so usable and maybe it doesn't explain what I really need.
Let's say that my routine has to do something when matches "Piano passante@TML000122-1" and something else when matches "Piano appoggiato@TML000122-1": both of them are specific construction planes used in my parts for mating.
