Upon start-up of SolidWorks 2020 SP3.0 the menu bar area is blank, as shown. Not until I move it around a little and reposition it, does the menu bar area fill in.
I believe that's a known issue that still hasn't been resolved. Happens on my installation too and it was a fresh standalone install, not an upgrade.
Happens to me as well - I just have to initiate some kind of activity, like creating a part or drawing. - annoying for sure!
Mine is also blank. I have discovered that pressing Alt to send windows selection to the menu also makes it appear.
This solved the issue for me...
The issue should now be resolved.
The problem hasn't come back on my system.
Thanks for the information, I appreciate any attempt to eliminate this nuisance.
While upon start-up, the search box doesn't show up in the left hand corner anymore, the entire menu bar is still blank.
For the time being, I have been closing my SolidWorks window un-"maximized". Upon start-up, the top menu bar is "normal", then I maximize it for use.
Again, thank you for your time.
This is a bug that was caused due to a missing "size" event. Maximizing & un-maximizing the main frame fixed it by forcing this missing "size" event. This issue has now been fixed in 2020 SP4 with spr 1182430. 2020 SP4 went live today.
