Hi, getting "Deactivation count exceeded" error when trying to transfer to a new machine. first time it has been deactivated and only had the license for 2 weeks.
As there is no-one at work at 9pm is there anyone out there with a workaround?
Hi Steve,Only your local reseller can see the activation history for your serial number, however I believe you can only deactivate a license up to 999 times. So if it has been moved around a bunch that would explain that error.Call your reseller, or if they are not available give SolidWorks a call at 1800 693 9000, select option 3 and 1 for English. Explain to them the error and have them check the activation records.
From here they can adjust the transfer limit to allow for another 999 deactivations.
