Question 1:Every time I create a new drawing, it opens like this:
Which means I have to manually click out of it before I can start inserting views and drawing dimensions. Is there a way to disable this?
Question 2: Is there a way to make the drawing a "snapshot?" I'll often make a drawing of a model, save it, then have to alter the assembly, which then ruins the drawing because Solidworks ties them together. Or, sometimes I'll create a drawing, and because the network here at work is crap, I'll copy the drawing away from the folder it's in and try to print it locally, but because the drawing is tied to the assembly folder it was in, the drawing is blank.
Essentially, I want to make drawings static regardless of what the parts do. If I need to redraw the drawing because of alterations to the part, I'll do that. I need Solidworks to be less "clever."
that's because when someone did drawing/sheet template saved it in this state.
You need to load sheet format and correct it
drawing - I belive you could save as: detached
