I have a route drawn and i'm wanting to go in and install
fittings at points on my 3d sketch. I drag my fitting in, rotate it
the way i want it, and drop it. Every time the program crashes. I
am running service pack 0. Could an install of the 3.0 service be a
fix for this or do I have another problem?
This is not a known problem as far as I am aware so I'd agree with David, upgrade to a later service pack. Also, check your graphics card driver is up tp date.
Check that all of the tools/options setting are correct - proper library paths etc.
Don't use the 'Create property manager' function on any piping components. This conflicts with the configuration selecter in routing and could cause problems.
If the issue persists you should report it through your VAR and get some help.
Cheers
Andy
I do faced the same problem with 2008 sp4.0, I did tackeled it. I will like to share you what I did the mistake and then remedies on it, this may help you out or this same might be the case with you also.
Previous approach--
before inserting a fitting in to the route I did make use of command of split route, that caused the crashing of solidworks.
Then I tried to make use of split segment command after that if I insert any of the fitting components to that point I got the required results.
Thanks and Regards
