Is it possible to add hole types in the Hole Wizard? For example, we use blind SF & PF dowel holes with a thru starter hole that are basically counterbore holes. I have added sizes to the Socket Head Cap Screw group by adding each hole to the "Sizes" list and again to "Screw Clearances" list in order for it to be an option when inserting a hole in a part. This seems like a crude method, but I have not been able to find any instructions for doing this more professionally. I would like to be able to add several types of holes (SF Dowels, PF Dowels, Tapped Jack Screw Holes, etc.) within the Counterbore Holes group instead of using an existing group like I have done. I would also like to preset Near Side, Far Side, & Underhead Chamfers for these holes, as well as add threads for the Jack Screw Holes, but I have not found where to make these changes either. If there is a set of instructions for modifying the Hole Wizard/Toolbox, I am more than willing to educate myself.
You can export tables from hole wizard but I have never done that and I do not know if you can add hole types. Some will tell you to create you own standard where I think you can only name the standard, not the holes. You can "hack" the hole wizard/toolbox database file (sqlite3) and add your new hole type (you should be familiar with sql database program because it will require updating several tables). Not familiar with the term jack screw hole. However if it involves a tapped hole with a counterbore or spot file you will need to create those using advanced hole.
