Is it possible to located the rollback bar at a selected position (item) in the browser?
It is possible to roll all-the-down, anyway.
RMB on feature. when you click on this ikon, this and all next features be not active.
When you click under bar you can choice this command. All features over (include clicked) be available.
So to clarify, You are asking if there is a way to set up Rollback "Flags" at various points on the feature tree? So instead of only being able to roll to the end, you can roll to User-Specified locations.
I am not aware of this feature, but it could be helpful! Perhaps there is already a feature request for this....
You could do it with Configurations, but it would be not easy if the part/assembly is still being modified, as you might have to re-assign configuration settings for each new feature (Unless new features are dependent on previously configuration-assigned features). It is annoying me just to think of doing it this way.
Thanks for the reply.
I was thinking the way I do using Autodesk Inventor. Please see below.
I am an Inventor guy (for almost 15 years).
New in Solidworks. But improved a lot in past two months. I love Solidworks as well. I am good in Solidworks and my 1st ever Solidworks model (working currently) is shown below.
Ah. I see what you mean. That "Move EOP Marker " is a nice feature of Inventor. I confess I rarely have to repeatedly move to locations on my feature tree, other than the end. I do have a hot-key (Cmd-~) set up for "roll to end" which I use very often.
I've never really used inventor - Been using SW exclusively for 12 years myself. By your model it looks like you're certainly getting the hang of Solidworks - Looks very Nice!
Thanks again. I have no idea about the user-specified locations. May be good to know.
I mostly concentrate editing the master sketch where I need to go up to any location need working and move the rollback bar all the way down after finish editing.
As you said, configuration-specific could not be easy. But, I will explore this functionality.
Thanks for the reply: that is what I wanted.
I was trying to find in listing below,
On this list you have only roll to end and roll to previous. When you use SW and have problem find somethings. its good idea use RMB.
