In SOLIDWORKS, we have the Measure tool and surface area property of all faces, but they are not so specific to the purpose of the project's painting area.

I noticed that some people need to estimate the external surface area of their projects, to calculate the area of the project where paint will be applied.

In cases of assembly, with screws and other details that would not be painted, is there an efficient way to obtain this information?

I know that this goal is not the focus of the tools, but maybe someone knows a different resource than the Measure tool and the area shown in Mass Properties ... I would appreciate the help!
