Is toolbox good for anything?

So I need a gear with 41 teeth, 20 degree pressure angle, .75 in thick, 1 in shaft diameter....  Easy enough to make in toolbox right?  Well no.  That would be too easy to just enter some parameters and have a gear in a matter of seconds.  I've been at it for the last 2 hours trying to make solidworks do what it says it can do.  Look at the picture.  These are the default setting on the left.  I chose ANSI Inch.  No matter what settings I choose it is always scaled way off on each dimension.  I have restarted, reinstalled toolbox (and every time I open SW the toolbox is completely forgotten and I have to reinstall it) and nothing changes.  When I first create the gear, I see the proper size, then the screen hiccups and it turns to this oddly shaped mess.  What should have been a quick 5 minute job has turned into a headache and a waste of time.  I have yet to see anything online that offers any solution to this.  I operate on SW 2017.
