Fly-thru Animations in SW2006

The assembly file is huge, it's 38M. The company I'm with can't really afford a screaming CAD workstation at this time, so we put together what we could with the money available. I'm thinking it has more to do with the processor. The IT guy put dual athlon 2.21 processors in the workstation, and I'm not sure if that's doing too much for me.

I have a brand new workstation with the following specs:

Win XP Pro SP2
Dual Athlon 2.21GHz processors
2GB RAM
NVIDIA Quadro FX 540

Any recommendations for better performance for handling assemblies in SW2006. I'm trying to create fly-thru animations and the system just seems to drag.

I would try a beefier video card, that one is low end. How big is you model? Assy?

Maybe you can get your var involved, they may have different computer configs to let you know where the bottleneck is. Personally I think it's card.
