I need to set up Shock vibration analysis for electronic devices based on following military standards,
In this statement i am confused with meaning of 3 shock/ direction i.e. total 18 shocks and similarly 2 shock/ direction i.e total 12 shocks.
Can anyone tell me what does this number shock per direction mean..?? And how do we take these numbers of shocks into account Simulation set up?.
Thanks in advance.

Shreeshial
I would assume shock/direction means number of shocks in each direction. IE you would do three shocks one direction, three shocks the other direction, rinse and repeat.
That being said it's a MIL spec and it's probably more clearly spelled out somewhere else as generally little in a MIL spec is left up to interpretation.
