I'm trying to improve my Solidworks skills, but I'm stuck on how to model this enclosure. Moreover, this is easm part. not able to measure the model. Kindly give some suggestions to complete this. Who would you do it?
I'd decide on a process first - molding or sheet metal.
One thing I'd do would be to make the top curvature smooth. It looks like it might just be done with cuts and fillets. I'd probably involve a loft or boundary feature in there.
The part doesn't seem that complex. What aspect of it are you concerned about?
I am Not good at Surface Modelling. So just am learning how to do this simple model. When I start the model itself have doubts on how to do this part in surface?
You might not need to use surfaces for this. You could probably do solid features. Make an extrude of the shape, then add a loft to create the curved section. The first loft profile would be the end of the loft and the second would be offset by some distance, and a little smaller than the extrude profile. Then you might want to shell it, again, depending on what process you pick.
Thanks for your reply.
