Same part two configs in single drawing view?

I do this quite regularly and may have even asked about it here and have forgotten.

We use a significant amount of grind shims.

We manufacture these shims, grind one side and send them to assembly. Assembly then aligns the machine, by adjusting parts and finds out what size the shim needs to be at final assembly.

When I draw the shim I like to show the finished part and the "As designed" thickness of the part in the same view.

So you have a shim, manufactured at 1/4" and then you show he shim at the "As designed" thickness of .220" in the same view.

In an assembly I would do this with an alternative view but that is not available for individual parts. Short of manually drawing lines is there a better way to do this? I've messed with placing one view onto of another and that seems less than functional as well.

Any ideas?
