I am looking for a faster feature or process to control how far cylinder "A" protrudes into cylinder "B", and still keep a straight edge or cut (not coped). Please look at my picture for clarity.
Currently, I extrude a cylinder A in "far enough", then do a separate extruded cut on plane with a rectangle to control the inside projection (IP) which needs measured from the short leg of the intersection.
Another method I currently do is a 3D sketch and extrude along a path, and add a sketch point on the intersection of cylinders A and B and dimension from there.
One of the tricky parts is the diameter of cylinder A can vary.
Any Ideas? I was wondering if there was any options with surfaces?
Thanks
