I have a part in a large assembly that has a default appearance, and I can't figure out how to remove it. I've assigned multiple separate appearances on different features of the part and they appear fine, but if I change the part transparency it clearly reverts to a transparent version of the default appearance, and if I do a Photoview render it doesn't capture the assigned appearances.
The appearance I want to remove is shown in this menu:
In the appearances tab it's not shown, only the appearances I set to it:
For proprietary reasons I'm only going to show separate extruded features to compare transparency:
Section 1 (opaque)
Section 2 (opaque)
Section 1 (transparent)
Section 2 (transparent)
As you can see transparency neglects the assigned appearances. This is also the case with rendering.
Things I've tried:
- The assembly(s) this component is included in does not have a default appearance assigned to it that's overriding it.
- I tried to edit that appearance shown above, save it, then delete it, but that makes this old appearance pop right back into place.
- Removing all part appearances doesn't affect that appearance, which makes sense.
- Changing the appearances from being on features to bodies doesn't affect anything.
I don't know how to fix this issue, any help would be appreciated.
