I'm trying to open a part file from China supplier.
I'm get allert: "The file is corrupt and cannot opened or repaired"
Is this because the drawings are made by Chinees SW? How can I solve this problem?
Assuming it is a .sldprt file (or other SW file) I don't think it should matter which country/language the part was made in. If the file is corrupt that likely happened during file transfer. It is unlikely you will be able to recover the file but you could ask your VAR if they have a way to recover it. Does the file open in LDR (large design review - or similar depending on SW version) or in eDrawings.
Could you ask the supplier to try send the file again, maybe using a different transfer method.
Thanks for the comment.
I've tried all you suggestions and it doesn't works. I think the file is corrupt. So, I try to get new files from the Chinese supplier.
If you believe the file is not corrupted then try the following.
If you sure its Chinese, install Chinese language pack for Windows.
