I've recently upgraded from SW2020 SP2 to SP3, and found that my icons for New, SAve, SAve as Open, etc is missing in the header of SolidWorks.
And i can't figure out how to get them back.
Anyone who knows how to solve this?
There is an option that has appeared in SP3 within the customize menu - "Quick Access Tools" by default this appears to be set to "Show in the CommandManager" rather than in the familiar place. Anyway if you swap this round, the tools will be back where you expect them.
Hello Michael, is this option availalbe in older version? I tried to check same location but its not there! Thanks for precious information.
This option appears to be new in 2020 SP3 and doesnt show in earlier versions
If you are missing these in an older version, you may be best contacting your VAR.
Thank you Michael for conforming.
I have a similar problem: if appear the menù like Klaus, the name of the drawing goes away. If I see the name of drawing I don't see the menù.
See attached screen shot
Thank you very much, Michael.
This solved it
Also, in SW 2020 SP 3.0 the Help menu is playing Find Waldo.
Bret Hekking, I am really curious why such a major UI change in an SP??? Shouldn't these type of serious UI updates be better introduced in major releases???
This unannounced update gave our Tech Support Team the opportunity to answer quite a few phone calls this week. Why?
Edit: For those of you who are wondering where Waldo disappeared:
Have you found where they've put the custom properties button then? I can't find it anymore after changing the layout back to some semblance of the past.

Did not change for me:
It is very easy to add it back, if it is missing. Just use Command Search and drag the icon in position:
Why are they hiding the most usable buttons by default?

Thanks Alin for share.
