Is there a way to automatically space and arrange hole tags with a hole table in the same way that you can for dimensions?
See pic attached. I have about 50 panels to draw each with a huge number of holes in that production would like tagged for error checking. In this example I have manually positioned the tags after they have been generated but not sure I can stomach doing this every time.

I'd set up the angle and distance in such a way that about half the drawings are OK, but the very crowded ones don't want to play. I wondered if there was a note auto-arrange tool separate to the doc settings.
My preference would be to increase drawing size or reduce font but then our production team will complain that they can't print/can't read the drawings. It's a battle I'll never win!

If they need to buy a bigger printer that's on them. Or just read it on screen.
In the mean time you could also vote for SPR 906086: Hole tags should not be automatically placed so that they overlap other geometry, each other, or other annotations ( placement , hole callout table ) in the hope that fixing this is further up SW to-do list.
I think the only control you have is the angle / distance in Document Properties;
In your particular example I'd probably find a way of increasing the drawing scale and/or reducing the font size to reduce the amount of rearranging. Alternatively, dimension the holes (with Ordinate dims most likely) and then the hole tags just become "A", "B", "C" etc. so it's less cramped than cramming in "A123", "A124" etc.
