Insert > Part is another option.

Save your assembly out as a part, and insert this into your part, or export assembly in dumb solid format (step) and re-import into SWX then insert into your part

As Neville Williams said, the only way (as far as I know) to insert an Assembly into a Part is to save the Assembly as a Part first.
