I want to load all the models that are being referenced to. This to avoid getting the out of context warning. In options I have chosen:
But Solidworks still opens every referenced model into new windows. Does anyone know why?
this is working how it's supposed to.
If you want out of context warnings - then when u load ur assembly right clik on top level and choose make all resolved- this should do it and then ctrl+q rebuild
I cant seem to find the option "make all resolved". Is it called something else?
right click on top assembly - and 'set lightweight to resolved'
I understand. I think I need to rephrase the question. Is there a way for me to avoid the out of context problem without having to open the model that is being referenced?
This is what I have set for that & I don't have any issues in it loading each part in its own window. Also make sure when you load the assembly file that you don't have the LIGHTWEIGHT option toggled on as well. The only issue we have with out of context error is when editing some parts that were part of a subassembly & you get the error message that these features were defined in another assembly & new ones cannot be added here. This we just delete the out of context relations, rebuild the sketch & then edit it again to add the new relations.
These are my options:
And I have this sketch inside an assembly, the sketch is refering to another assembly. And if I dont have that assembly open I get the out of context message.
One thing to double check is the file that it is referencing didn't get either accidentally renamed or perhaps moved to a new folder and your new file is unable to locate that referenced file.
No problem there. I just created the sketch
