I have been using this extra free time during lockdown to work my way through some of the SW certifications.

Did Weldments earlier this week and passed so though I would give Mold Tools a go. Not something I do on a day today but went through the lessons on the learning portal and passed the sample exam with ease.

Just tried and failed the real exam . Didn't see half of that coming, back to the drawing board with this one I think!

I think the learning portal lessons on this one only half prepped me for the exam, anyone else found this with that particular test?

Did the learning portal lessons cover all of the topics listed on CSWP-Mold Tools | SOLIDWORKS ?

I had pretty much the opposite experience to you, despite never having done mold design I found this to be the easiest of the exams. As with all the other tests I just made sure I was happy using the tools stated in the list.

  Yeh everything there covered, just seemed to go to bits when it came to the real thing.

    Did you pass the MM exam yet?
    
    Do you have a definition for max mold openings?
    
    did the e-course teach you anything about mold cooling problems?
    
    Did you read anything else more genneral to mold design, any books to recommend or videos e-courses etc?
    
    about mold design machines, settings, preperation etc?

  Did you take the Drawing test? That one was too easy...Though I didn't take the Mold Tools one, so I can't say for certain that the Drawing test was easier.

    Yeah, did the Drawing one too. I seem to remember it being fairly straightforward but I managed to fluff up one of the questions it seems as I didn't get 100%;

      I blew through it. We do stuff with drawings here that most don't. It's very important to some people here that our drawings exactly look like the 2D drawings our civil engineers make (even to the point they'd rather that than the plans be correct, I kid you not). So, I'm pretty proficient with drawing tools. I didn't even check my results, but I must have missed something:
