I have tried making the mesh "fine," there are no fillets, I have chosen select all surfaces, I have tried picking each part from the design tree, and I have confirmed that changing the material applied to every part. I want one simulation at -200 C and another at 100 C. Any other trouble shooting ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Margaret,
I am now seeing the error you describe. The definition of the temperature boundary is not accurate when selecting faces like this in a static analysis as it leaves all the internal volume nodes with a null value that gets assigned 0 Kelvin.
When I deleted and redefined the temperature boundary selecting the bodies of the model so the nodes on the internal volume also had temperatures assigned I no longer got an errors citing the temperature transfer failure. This would be both more accurate and seems to fix the error you are seeing.
Attached is the modified set of files with a now working thermal static study for -200 Celsius for you to run and verify on your own system.
