..suggest using full Split Lines..
Couldn't figure it out, however I've managed to make a work around.
I guess that its because the cut profile is tangent to the existing cut.
What I've done was, roll back to before the two existing sweeps and copy the ball surface, then, roll forward, and instead of projecting the curve into the ball surface, i've projected it to the copyed face, that way the path line is in the middle of the existing cut, as follows:
Another way would be to design just half of the basket, and at the end mirror the whole body.
Uncheck Align with End Faces under options
Thank you. I am now more aware of this option. Thanks
The path begins in the correct place, but the block you use to cut out does not. SW does not start the cut from the beginning of the path, but sweeps the body oriented in relation to it. It is important that if you sweep a cube that protrudes beyond the path, the notch will also start there. unfortunately I can't open the file. Include a screenshot of the active PM for this operation.
Thank you. Out of all commands, sweep cut probably gives me the most frustrating time. Boss extrude is the easiest!
Cut is not according to drawing dimension.
Thanks for the sample. I'm not too concerned with the exact dimension. My goal is to create the ball in an efficient way
Thanks for the suggestion. Split line made it a lot easier.
Everybody gets to play today.
Not 100% correct, but I got lazy.
Thanks for the sample. Creating just a quarter of the ball really makes things easier
