Pulling my hair out !!!!!!!!!

I'm SUPER new to Solidworks and giving my all.. I've spent hours trying to accomplish a rather simple model for our sheet metal guys in the shop. Half of the model is a simple sketch profile that's extruded or flanged out.. BUT THEN I need these accordion/stepping bends to begin at an origin. There's also a rising cut profile towards the other end of the model..

Pretty sure it needs to be done in two pieces, but I still cant' figure out how to create those stairs that start from a single point in the model.. 

Any ideas or methods, or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated..
