Corrupt files

Got a new workstation and also went from Win7 to Win10 and SW2019 to 2020. The storage drive from the old pc was added to the new one. The files on the drive are mostly finished, but there are some assemblies or parts I have opened and everything has worked just fine. On the drive there is also the autobackup folder of the SW2019 installation and today there was a situation where I could have used a backup from that folder. For some reason every file, part or assembly, says it's corrupt when I try to open it. Also Solidworks functions like pack and go give an error messages on the files in that folder. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
