When i go to add a second sheet i get location could not be found error. So do i get me page template to show up on the second sheet and still be able to go in and edit like i can on the first sheet?
It sounds like your sheet format was moved or re-named after saving the drawing template. If you'll save the sheet format in the location you're pointing to at Tools > Options > System Options > File Locations > Sheet Formats, that should eliminate that error.
If you have questions about saving sheet formats check What's the difference between a sheet format and drawing template?
It's saved in the same location.
Can you post a screenshot of the error message?
When you click OK does it let you Browse to select a sheet format?
I guess I don't understand the problem. Do you have a custom sheet format that you're trying to use? Or maybe you've edited the current sheet format, and you want those edits to be reflected in the second sheet?
I have a custom one I use. I have a revision table and box for the customer and print no. to fill out when you enter edit sheet format. Does this carry over to the second sheet? OR how do i get this onto the second sheet. I'm using solidworks 2018, I forgot to mention this .
You need to save that sheet format, ideally somewhere other than the default location, and then point to it as I explained above. I'd encourage you to review the blog post I linked to earlier. It should explain everything, but if you read it and still have questions I'll try to help.
Ok, after reading that blog, i got it to work, now the question i have is why my material note is not showning up on the second sheet?
My best guess is that you weren't in "Edit sheet format" mode when it was inserted on the first sheet.
