I have searched but did find an answer to my question. Sorry if I missed it.

I have experience with other analysis tools performing modal analysis but have limited experience using the SolidWorks/COSMOS tool.

When performing a frequency analysis, it appears that the constraints or "connections" are very limited. When one performs an analysis of a structure that contains multiple components and fasteners, how does one account for that?

For example, when two parts have a common surface they do not appear to be allowed to join in the frequency analysis. Further I cannot use the bolted connection feature to secure the components.

Are there work arounds? Or are there features, options, or other methodologies specific to COSMOS Frequency analysis that I am unaware of?
