Is there a way to keep a custom material with a part - to embed the custom material into the part file? I don't want to lose the customer material when sending the part file to someone who doesn't have access to the custom material library. Is there any way to keep from losing the custom material when it's separated from the local custom material library?

Thanks for the reply. I noticed the material name and a mass is there but density is 0. Do you see the same?
Sorry for the delay, bit hectic around here.
If I create a part with custom material and open this part on another workstation that does not have this custom material, I see the name of the material, the density is correct. Simulationxpress also finds the right material properties to do strength calculations. So yes, in my case, material properties of a custom material are embedded in the part file.

Try setting your material db file location to the same location, accessible to all:

Just test it. I think custom materials are already embedded in the part.
