How to open magnifying glass to identify open contour? (Solidworks 2016)

Heyy so I'm trying to make a sketch on sheet metal, but my solidwork program keeps saying "open contour", when I try to go to tools > sketch tools > check sketch for feature > sheet metal base flange, it shows me that there is a 0.18 mm gap but no magnifying glass appears. How can I activate the magnifying glass so it actually shows me where the problem is so I can fix it?? This might sound silly which is why there is no answers for it so far in the forum...

I have attached images of the problem messages + the contour gap they are "showing" me...

Your SolidWorks program saying " ...more than one open contour" This is your problem, not gap.

  Thanks for pointing that out! How can this be fixed? Does the magnifying glass only work for one open contour? Is the only solution to redraw using a different method....?

    If you can't trim the vertical line on the left side for some reason, use "Split Entities" on the vertical line, lock it at the intersection, and change the top piece of the line to construction - this should make it work as well.
    
    I did a quick check of the check sketch tool, and it does work as expected for situations such as this.
    Just remember that 3 lines ending in a single point will confuse SolidWorks -

Krzysztof Szpakowski is right, just trim the part that extends above the horizontal line, and it will work.

  Thank you!! I'm still a bit perplexed though, how cone magnifying glass works on single open contours but not on more than one...?

    Here is the best way that I can think of to describe this situation:
    
    Here we have a single open contour that can be used for a sheet metal base flange -
    It says that it is a single open contour because the two lines share a vertex.
    
    If you separate the two lines, then you technically have multiple open contours -
    It now says that it has more than one open contour, and highlights one of the lines (which is considered a contour)
    
    If you bring the two lines back together, but do not connect them at a vertex, it is still seen as multiple open contours -
    This is similar to what is happening in your example.
    
    Here is what I mentioned with my "Split Entities" suggestion earlier -
    By "splitting" the vertical line, it is possible to make the top part construction, so SolidWorks now sees two lines with a common vertex, making it a single open contour.
