Sheet metal corner problem

Attached is a file and screen shot of a problem sheet metal corner.

My goal is to fill in a small notch of a sheet metal corner. Other than that notch the design is as desired.

What is the path of least resistance to accomplish this?

The notch I desire to fill can can be identified with a tab late in the design tree. However when that feature is turned on, the part will no longer flatten.

I am using 2019

EDIT- I added a second screen shot of the current solution. It works, but creates a bunch of other problems.

Adding a radius to the first tab allows a complete solution. But the file becomes unstable, bend lines do not show up in flat patterns, drafting requires manually adding the bend line information, in general is a time consuming hassle.
