Save Drawing as dxf

Hello, I have searched and tried macros but have not found what i'm looking for.  I have also tried editiing a few macros but i am not skilled at that.  What I am looking for is a macro that I can click a button and the save as dialog box pops up with the file type already changed to dxf.  It can save in current folder without the dialog box popping up, but the issue i'm having is that the macros i have used require the drawing to be saved first.  I do not want to save the slddrw as i am just creating a file for a laser cutter and any further edits will be done in draftsight.  The reason I am doing it in a drawing is I can pull a saved annotation in with Thickness, material, and quantity information for the laser cutter.  Any ideas on a solution? Thank you
