I opened an assembly step file like I would any other step file. It opened as an assembly with solidworks part files. The lowest level of individual parts of the assembly show icons representing solid models. Here's where it gets weird. Since I'm getting the warning on the assy I open the part to run diagnostics and maybe feature recognition. However, when the part opened, it opened as a surface import rather than a solid import. I've never seen this before (where it opens different as a part than it showed in the assy). I ran import diagnostics to clear the faults, which left two faults remaining. Usually even if there's faults remaining the yellow warning will still go away. Not this time. Any ideas what's going on here?
