I use Solidworks 2018-19 licensed version and need to use the Toolbox for inserting gears but cannot configure the gear correctly.

When I drag and drop the helical gear icon into the workspace and then in the "Configure Component" window on the left, I change diametral pitch, number of teeth, pressure angle, face width, shaft diameter, helix angle, pressure angle, etc all I want, but the gear won't change from the specs it had when I first dragged it into the workspace. Only helix direction from left<->right, adding a hub to the gear and sizing it, and adding key creates a change. All other options don't affect the initially drag-and-dropped gear.

It still indicates whatever specifications I wanted in the name, I put 22 teeth in the Configuration column on left, but there is no change in the default gear which was initially drag-and-dropped from toolbox with 10 teeth or so.
