I did that. But got a different looking shape.
After the 2 extrudes just apply a "Combine" with "common" selected, pick the 2 cilinders and you get what you look for...

thank you. Now I remember this is called a "Bicylinder", intersection of 2 cylinders. Something I encountered in Calculus 3 class, which requires the ability to visualize 3D objects. The intersection of 3 cylinders is gonna be very interesting. I'm gonna looking it up.
