Hi all,
I have an assembly including a couple of components (part/assembly). When I try to delete one of the components from the assembly, Solidworks just crashes every time I did it. However, when I suppress the same component, it doesn't crash. I have used this model many times before and it never happened. I have tried to restart the computer and run Solidworks on its own, but the problem still exists.
Can anyone instruct what should I do to fix the problem please?

I won't be able to attach the model as it is a project for a customer. My SW is 2019 sp5. I have tried component replacement as you described in your point 3, but it was unsuccessful. I haven't tried the way mentioned in your point 4.
I was notified this morning that my manager will ask for a technician visit from the vendor. So I possibly can put some update here as a reference to whom might have the same issue.

After a few days of debugging and testing, the problem relates to a beta function that can be turned on and off in the system option. It is a newly introduced function called "enhanced graphics performance" in the performance tag under the system option. Obviously, it helps a lot with rotate, pan, etc. when in the design of a complex structure, but it also has some side effects which I have encountered.
Hopefully, this can help users who come across the same problem.

1. Attach the assembly with all parts (pack&go).
2. List your version & SP.
3. Can you replace the offending part w/o issue?
4. Have you tried saving the assembly & modifying that copy instead of the original? Did you get the same results.
