We just installed SW PDM Pro. When I go to File > Open, I see all the SW tilde ~$ files. How can I hide these files?
In the PDM Administration program go to the user (or group) settings. Be aware that if for some reason files are not added to your vault you won't see them as they will be local files.
That was the first thing I checked. Its set right.
Any other ideas?
Then check PDM file view setting.
Or try turn Windows setting off then on.
Not sure where the " PDM file view setting" is.
I turned the Windows setting (both) on and applied. Then turned off. To no avail.
This has been a problem for two weeks, I reboot daily, no help.
I have scoured the help file, no help.
I guess I can contact my VAR....
Fred, do you see the ~$ files on your computer (in PDM)? BTW, I do not see the ~$ files when I am outside of PDM, only in PDM.
I don't have PDM.
Hence I think there could be a setting in PDM to hide the files.
you may want to keep those showing, less it is driving you that crazy. If they linger in a folder after parts are checked in you may want to be able to see them to delete them. no need to fill up the working directory with unneeded files.
They are annoying and at the top, so they drive my real files off the screen...
That did the trick! Thank you Mike....
